All MGA members will compete in this exciting new season event – no special registration is required.

Each MGA members will be assigned to one of three flights based on their handicap index –

• M Group – Everyone who does not fit into category G nor A.

• G Group – This group consist of players who have handicap indexes between 13.0-20.0, have reported over 5>500% of their scores and have participated in over 25% of MGA events last of MGA events last year. This is independent of tee box.

• A Group – This group consists of players who have handicap indexes less than 13.0, have reported over 90% of their scores, and have participated in over 40% of MGA events last year. This is independent of tee box.

MGA will, at the beginning of the year, assign players to these groups based upon the above criteria. There will be one winner in each flight.

 

The Race starts opening day and runs through the first 12 games of the Season.  Players accumulate points based upon weekly participation, and placement in each weekly event.

• 1 point for participation in each weekly event

• 2 extra points to the winners of each flight (Gross and Net)

• 1 extra point for second place each flight (Gross and Net)

• 5 points for participation in each Major event; the Ringer and the Partner’s Classic

• 2 points to winners (Gross and Net)

• 1 extra point to 2nd place (Gross and Net)

• 2 Additional participation points to computer drawn events

• 4 participation points for competing in the MGA/WGA Mixer

• Double Points for 1st place and 2nd place in the last MGA event before the Cognizant on Feb 18th

The top 4 point winners in each flight will compete in a playoff.  Ties will be broken by highest Participation Points.

 

The playoff event will be a Sudden Death Shoot-Out on February 18th that eliminates one player per hole. Playoff will occur on the Staples course.

 

The champions will receive:

• Honorary Observer Spots at the 2026 Cognizant Classic

• Access to walk inside the ropes during one of the event dates (Thursday thru Sunday) with a group

• Invited to be inside the ropes, next to the green, during the Trophy Ceremony on Sunday night of the Event.

• Branded MGA apparel to be worn during the Cognizant tournament week.
